/The Challenge
Typography 3 required integrating skills from earlier type classes and saw us developing a book and website with consistent visuals all on a specific genre. I selected brutalism in architecture which led to the creation of a project rooted in texture, structure, and a bold visual.
/The Approach
For the project, I chose brutalist architecture from around the world. I researched it's history, visual language, and notable architecture to document within the book. This formed a black and white publication that focused on texture, shape, and contrast. The result was a system that captured the direct and structural qualities of brutalist design.
